CrazyCap is the result of years of research, testing and development in partnership with leading labs around the world. The result? Independent tests prove it makes any debris-free water 100% safe to drink.

CrazyCap uses advanced deep UV LED to sterilize water. At 278nm, it sits at the ideal point on the 260nm-280nm light spectrum that carries maximum disinfecting ability.

As the charts below illustrate, both the Normal and Crazy modes result in a significant bacterial reduction in the contaminated water.

As the deep UV light enters the microbial cell, it destroys the nucleic acids. Without this active core, cells are no longer viable. Think of this like boiling water, an age-old technique which makes water safe for consumption.

Fill

Fill your bottle with water from any debris-free source. As long as the water is transparent (so light can pass through it), you’re good to go.

Cap

Screw on your CrazyCap and finger-tighten for a proper seal. CrazyCap fits our sport bottle perfectly, as well as most 9-, 12- and 17-ounce cola-style bottles.

Tap

Gently double tap the touchpad for Normal Mode (for water from the tap and public fountains). For Crazy Mode (water from lakes, ponds, etc.) tap 5 times.

Drink
Drink confidently once the sterilization is completed.

Self-Cleaning

Self-Cleaning
CrazyCap turns on once every 4 hours, for 20 seconds each time, to sterilize the bottle by shining the deep UV light on the inside surface of the bottle. This will ensure that your bottle does not accumulate mold, bacteria, viruses, or any harmful pathogens.
